Item received - donated to non-profit

US QuickBooks Premier : 2009: Professional Services

I need to enter Item donated to our non-profit. How do I enter it and give receipt to donator? They donated 3 t.v.'s worth $225.00 to our group.

Are you keeping the 3 TVs for use in your organization or selling them or giving them away?  If you keep them for your use, do you want to have them show in an Asset account and depreciate them ?  Or just accept the donation as an In Kind donation ?
