Home Base program modification that adds comma's to numbers, can this be done for 2009 program?
At this late in the Game it will probably have to be in an update once the 2009 Version of ProSeries has been released. Call Tech Support and recommend the change
I suspect that Intuit's recommendation at this point would be to stick 'em where the sun don't shine.

Actually, Archie, we have a new ProSeries product suggestion tool at http://intuit.uservoice.com/pa...
Lisa, just out of curiousity, how seriously are the suggestions looked at by the powers that be? What criteria do they use to determine whether suggestions warrant changes?
Suggestions are looked at very seriously.
I don't know all the criteria used to evaluate enhancement suggestions but here are some that make sense to me:
- does the suggestion make the program easier to use for most users, or does it serve just a small sub-section of users
- will it help tax preparers / accountants to grow their practice
- what will it cost in man-hours to make the change or add the request
- does Intuit have time to implement and test the request before the product releases

What he said. My point was that November probably is not the most, uhh, appreciated timing for suggesting program rewrites.

Agreed, just thought I would ask. It seems like such a feature that would have been added day one.
Well, seeing how ProSeries grew its way out of Turbo Tax (and a fine wonderful program it's become) and TT don't put in the commas (from what I remember....) That's probably a "feature" that got overlooked in the years and years of programming...

Took your advice and called tech support. Talked to a rep, on and off hold for 20 minutes and then got disconnected. Is there a suggested process for enhancement suggestions?
