To add to previous question:
What does EAccess violation mean?
We are trying to install DMS onto one of our computers which goes along well but when we try to open the program it gives us this error message and we are unable to even open the program.

Finally called Lacerte helpline and after an hour got a solution and thought for those of you who are having the same issue this might help:

Here is an answer for those of you who reach an EAccess violation error message -

Try:

1. Right click on DMS icon

2. Click on 'Properties'

3. Click on 'Compatability' tab.

4. Make sure the compatability mode is set for your whichever windows program you are using. Or unclick the check box next to "Run this program in compatability mode for:" (Then DMS will run compatabile to whichever program your windows is in. This works if your in Windows XP.)

Hope this helps!
