Deleting Dependent Screen

When entering MFJ details Dependent Screen popped up with some details other than first name, SSN etc. Though manually deleted those entries, still in 1040 dependent exemption is coming and in Diagnostics 'Dependent First name required' is coming. Clicked Delete button in Dependent screen no use. Pl help

You've tried exiting Lacerte and then going back in? Something got confused somewhere.

Hey, we get sig files now! Cool - I wonder what I'll put here? Ah, I know: RTFM.

I had this happen to me also. The way I got around it was to put in a first name, date of birth etc to make it look like a real dependent and then I got out of the client and then went back into the client and then I was able to delete the dependent. Good Luck.
