I need to create an invoice using billable time, I want to create one with transferring billable time by entering a separate line on the invoice for each activity, and one combining activities with the same item number.

The way you control how time entries bill is to use Add Time & Costs, you see the list of Time entries, and look in the upper right corner for Options. Click this button to see how you can control the way in which the entries are shown on the invoice.

Then, if you want a separate line for each activity, you should use a customized invoice template that includes the Service Date column.

Obviously, you can't select the same time entries on two invoices. You only select entries once and bill them on one invoice. You can't create a combined invoice and separately a details invoice since this really is two invoices and two times the charges; this would be duplicate billing to the customer, even if you force QB to do it by marking everything already billed as billable again.
