You posted in the IT section of the forums. You might find more peer folks in the Manufacturing section, some of them have used QB for product development, for example. Also, depending on your entity type of your company, there is a Sole Proprietors section, and a Freelance - Independent Contractor section, if you contract to provide services to others, those sections might be useful in understanding how folks like you are using QB for their business.
