trying to figure out how i can create invoices / estimates from my iphone and email them from the job (im always on the road)

There are a couple options.

  • If you use QuickBooks online, Intuit offers a webapp here:
    http://intuitlabs.com/experiments/qboe-on-iphone
  • If your QB is served in the cloud, depending on circumstances you could use something like the Citrix XenApp Receiver
  • If your situation is time/expense billing, Bill4Time has a solution
  • RDP (remote desktop protocol -- remoting in to your desktop at the office from the field) would work, but I don't think I'd recommend it
  • Depending on the complexity of your situation, a Excel template could be set up and you could enter data in it, then that could be imported into QB
