How do I move my DMS database to a file server?

how do I move my DMS database to a file server? I have

tried the create new database wizard but keep getting errors. I have also tried copying it and just opening the copy but Lacerte no longer stores files in the database this way.

I would back it up using PCBackup and then restore it on the file server.  If you copy it I would copy the entire DMS directory.
