Send direct deposit 2 or 5 days before pay day

Direct deposit is designed to automatically switch to the 2 day funding model after the second payroll is complete.  Payroll is usually in the completed status about 1-2 business days after your check date.  Your reminder in Online Payroll to create your paychecks will reflect the correct date to send your paychecks.  If you are not sure of the 5 or 2 day status, you can chat with a payroll agent and they will be able to look for you.
