Attaching non-inventory items to accounts

In my item list, I attached an item to a revenue accout. It seems to work ok but I remember in previous versions, I attached an item to a cost of goods sold account. Is this a difference from 2008 to 2009 in non-inventory items?

No difference, it is the same setup.
Check off the box "This item is used..." This will open the COGS side.

Hope this helps. If so please mark solved, if not please ask more questions. Thanks!
