FIx a deleted reconciled item
After reconciling I deleted a reconciled item. I can't seem to put it back in to make my starting balance correct. How do I fix it?

You will have to undo the reconciliations & then redo them. Or just reconcile the item in the current month's bank rec.

If the reconciled item you deleted was in the month you just reconciled, you can correct the beginning balance for the next month the following way: re-record the deleted transaction with the original date. Start the reconciliation. Set the date back to the date of the previous reconciliation. Don't worry about the beginning balance. Type in the ending balance from the corresponding bank statement. Make sure that you set back the dates of the bank service charges and the interest (you will not have any amounts to put in, but the dates have to be set to agree with the bank statement date). When you hit continue, you will not see any transactions you already reconciled, but the one you deleted will be there. Check that one transaction. The difference should be zero. You are done.
