I received a commission report for 9 accounts and It ends up that I owe more money than the commissions. I wrote check for the amount I owe. How do I record these commissions without overstating income?

Not following you. You received commissions but then paid commissions? The commissions you received are income to you. Any amount you had to pay -perhaps commissions to someone else are expenses to you. Income less expense is your profit or loss. In your case, a loss. I don't see you overstating income.

Hope this helps. If so, please mark Solved. Thanks so much!
