overwrite an existing company file

I want to overwrite an existing company with a backup file. However, there is a message that says it's a read only file. How do I go around this?

Usually this happens when your backup is on a CD or DVD.  If you copy the file to your computer's hard drive and then try to restore the file from there, it will probably work fine.
