Unchecked, but paid items in Credit Card Reconciliation. How to delete them?

US QuickBooks for Macintosh : 2009

Am using QB 2009. I have 3 unchecked items in my credit card reconciliation that have actually been paid. How do I get rid of them?

Whether an item has been paid off or not shouldn't matter. You just check them off when you're reconciling your credit card statement. Once they've been reconciled, they won't show up again.

Or did I misunderstand what you were saying?

If you paid you credit card bill in full, all those transactions will be checked off as reconciled.

Do you mean that you had 3 transactions that have just never showed up on your credit card bill?

Or, are you saying that you "paid ahead" and you paid for those 3 transactions but they won't show up until next month's bill?

Like Debi wrote - all transactions get checked off when you reconcile. I'm not sure if you carry a balance on the card or if you pay your cc in full, but if you pay it in full - then after you balance the credit card there will only be 2 things outstanding.

1) The payment that you made to pay that statement.

2) Any new transactions that you did since the closing date of that statement. (they'll be on the next statement)

So - were your 3 transactions something that you possibly bought -- but have just never shown up on your statement? That has happened to me twice.

Thank you for your help.  After reading both replies I did more checking of my accounts and discovered that I had made 2 incorrect entries.  I was just learning the program and thought that it was more complicated than it is!!
