Thank you for your continued input and patience. As of today, the R8 patch to QuickBooks 2009 for Mac with Mac OS X v10.6 ‘Snow Leopard’ support is available for download. If you have QuickBooks’ auto-update on and an internet connection, you will be notified when opening QuickBooks. If you wish to initiate it yourself, open QuickBooks and choose QuickBooks > Check for QuickBooks Updates…’ to start the download process. If you are unsure of what version you are currently using, choose QuickBooks > About QuickBooks 2009.

What?  I just launched QB2009, checked, and got an update.  After it updated, i fired it up and it immediately asked me to register.  I tried, but it says my license number or product number is invalid.  When I called support, they told me that R8 was NOT yet available and that they would know.. and once it was available, it would fix my problem.. and that I just had to uninstall QB2009 and reinstall it to get another 15 days.  And they told me that R8 would not be out until the end of the month.
