DMS 3rd party software

I'd like to use a program that will facilitate a paperless office. Does anyone have a good program that will help my staff prepare a return from scanned docs and help me review the return from scanned docs? I'd like something that at a minimum will give me an adding machine tape in the scanned file and perhaps a link from the adding machine tape to the various docs that are being added.

Here is a good article to check out. We use GoFileRoom ES. It's great but pricey.
