Moving backed up files from a clients computer to mine

I am trying to move backed up files from a new client to my computer. I use

QB PRO Accountant 2009 version. My client uses QB PRO 2010. How do I get the information transferred to my computer? I have it backed up and saved on a flash drive.

The solution

QuickBooks is not backward compatible -- you will need 2010 to open the client file.  You can copy it to the hard drive and then in QuickBooks, go to File>Open or Restore.
