How do I create manual paychecks. The Pay Employee icon is not on my screen. I do
not wish to subscribe to QB Payroll, I wish to product manual paychecks and reports. The Payroll Center Icon is not on my screen and neither is Pay Employees. How do I get them to appear on the screen?
Go to the Help menu, choose the first option (QuickBooks Help). Type in the search field: manual payroll. Follow the instructions.

Don't forget to use Edit menu > Preferences, Payroll & Employees, Company Preferences tab to Full Payroll. This activates the functions.
When a file is set to manual payroll, you won't have the payroll center. Pay Employees will be an icon on the home page and listed in the Employees menu.
