error code olsu 1013

I would like to know if you have figured it out and what the solution is...

I had the same problem using both Quickbooks 2008 and after upgrading to 2009. The problem was solved after I called Quickbooks Technical Support.

I was trying to download my bank checking account statements into Quickbooks but getting the error message OLSU-1013. My bank told me that all the info I was entering was correct. The problem, it turns out was with the Quickbooks file.

The Intuit technical support rep went through these steps to solve the problem:

1. Verify and rebuild Company file.

1.1 File -> Utilities -> Verify Data

1.2. File -> Utilities -> Rebuild Data

2. Create temporary download account

2.1 Under Chart of Accounts, created a new Bank account named "temp". (leave bank acct no and routing number blank)

3. Setup the temporary download account for online services

3.1 Banking -> Online Banking -> Set Up Account for Online Services

3.2 Selecting Quickbooks account "temp"

3.3 Select the correct financial institution and give them the username and/or PIN

3.4 Select the appropriate bank account to associate with the Quickbooks "temp" acccount

4. Merge the downloaded data from the new "tempt" into the existing account.

4.1 From the Chart of Accounts, select the old banking account, and select "Edit"

4.2 Remove all bank acct no and routing number information.

4.3 Rename the "Account Name" from whatever is in there to "temp" (the same as the Quickbooks account you just created)

4.4 Save and Close

4.5 Quickbooks will give you pop-up that says "This name is already being used. Would you like to merge them?" Hit "YES"

4.6 Rename the "temp" account to the old banking account name.

Now this account is setup for online banking.

Try this really simple one that worked for me with National City. While setting up the account in Quickbooks, I was trying to specify an new password with special characters. After 1000000000 trys at setting up the account I tried a password with only uppercase, lowercase and numbers and bingo!

Well there is no luck with all the tips... I am getting the same error on a fresh install of windowsXP and QBP2010.... YEs - in initial setup!   Help!
