I'm trying to efile a DC Individual tax return that show business income on line b that is carrying over from the Federal Schedule C. Im getting a critical diagnostic asking for an EIN before it will efile the DC return. This is a Schedule C sole propriotor who does not have an EIN. It will not accept his SSN in this field either.

This is a DC efiling issue. DC requires a Schedule C to have an EIN for efiling. You either have to file a paper return or obtain an EIN.
