Make sure that the Preference - General Tab - is not checked to bring back reminders.
PLEASE mark this answer as solved (click the button under the answer in the lower, right corner) or post additional questions or comments so that I can be of further assistance. Thanks so much!!! www.beniciaquickbooksgroup.com
I am also having this same issue with Quickbooks Pro 2010. I have made sure that "Turn off pop-up messages for products and services" IS checked and that "Bring back all one time messages" is NOT checked and I've turned OFF Credit Card Processing, Paper Check Processing and Echeck Processing but I still keep getting the "Get more from Quickbooks" offers.
I am having the same issue. For a $2500.00 software program that is intended to increase productivity, this is a very annoying situation
Same problem... won't stop. Preferences are set properly. The "answer" above doesn't work for me.
Same problem here also. Does anybody have a solution? I am running 2010 on a network install, anybody. jheerman you need to make sure the problem is fixed before asking to mark as closed when obviously it is NOT.

This has nothing to do with reminders or options - it's a sales pitch, Intuit is trying to sell you services. Go through every page of the interview and say NO and I HAVE NO PLANS EVER TO to each offering - then the stupid thing will stop popping up - then go to Help, Send Feedback, and fill in the Product Feedback text box with your comments to Intuit about this crap.

to FRETS: - good comment to jheerman - thanks, it's annoying when people ask you to say solved when they didn't even understand the question - they just "guessed" at the answer - if jheerman had tried to replicate the problem he would have known his answer was wrong - maybe he isn't even using 2010.
I don't understand the purpose of this forum to be honest. Does Intuit not monitor these posts? Questions go unanswered for months!! And really? Nobody has an answer for this Payment Interview pop-up screen??? We are running QB v10 Enterprise and my entire staff is complaining. Best part is, there is no option to say "NO NOT EVER". The options are "Yes" or "No not at this time"...which really means "not now, but you can bug the crap out of me again later". This is absolutely unacceptable from Intuit! Productivity for accepting payments just went down the drain. I hope someone from Intuit is reading this!
Hello All,
I'm sorry to hear about the frustration that the pop-up windows are causing you. We are currently working on solutions to some of the issues that you are experiencing regarding pop-ups and we are trying hard to include it in our next update for QuickBooks 2010.
We will let you know as soon as we have an update.

Has anyone tried with the internet because couple op popup can be stopped if you have internet ONLY. Inorder to get rid those pop up you a\have to connect to the internet once.
Might can help you, Not Sure
No doubt it's very annoying....a simple solution that Intuit obviously doesn't want to address. I've looked at the cost of the merchant services and they're not competitive. If my accountant weren't tied to quickbooks, I'd dump them.

MXSouth and all:
Not sure if this will work, but, I had a similar problem with my copy of Quicken2009. Every time I opened the program it wanted me to consider upgrading to Quicken 2010. Removing the check mark to remind me later and clicking not now did not solve the problem.
After seeing this message reappear every time I opened Quicken I finally clicked on yes. As soon as it opened an internet connection I closed the internet connection. The popup never came back! Problem solved. I appears that once you click on yes - even though you don't go any further, it shuts off the Pop up.
Hope this might solve your pop up problem as well.
Mary
I clicked "yes" on the receive payments section as described above, and that seems to have stopped the pop-up there. I also get the same pop-up when I invoice customers, so I'm not sure if it worked yet there, but clearly the answer is to click Yes so that QB thinks you want to buy more services. Ugh, so frustrating!
