I'm having a problem trying to set up multiple discount with items in a department that have different prices. For example we have prices of 17.99, 16.99 15.99 if a customer purchases 5 or more we offer a discount of $1.00 off each. When I try to use multiple discounts it makes me give it a final price of the the 5. Is there a way to do this or a module to purchase ? We are using QB POS 9.0 Thank you Doug
Sure. You can use "units of measure" to accomplish this. When you set it up you can utilize the units of measure drop down menu in your sale to select the unit/price you choose.
Lets say you have something at a regular price of $5 and you give $1 off for 5. You can either set the units of measure up to where it will take 1 out of inventory for each time you hit the quantity button and assign that unit a price of $4 or you can tell it to take 5 out of inventory for every 1 you sell and assign that unit a price of $20. Its up to you.
Actually I am trying to set it up so it automatically changes the prices. as soon as somone hits the 5 mix and match items. Is this possible? So they may purchase 5 different items all from the same department and it will then give the discount.
