would like my website to be on a search engine. How do I do that?

Hi there Nadia,

There are a couple of things that you can do to submit your website. Please note that I have only addressed free options as there are many paid options but I presume you will want to try your hand at free listings first.

1. The first is submitting to Google. This can be done directly here: http://www.google.com.au/addur... and you can add a couple of key words and descriptions. Usually takes around 24-48 hours to upload, so don't panic if it isn't instantly there.
    
2. Secondly you can then lodge with Yahoo. This can be done directly here: search.yahoo.com/info/submit.html which is similar to Google and you can add a little bit of descriptiveness etc.
    
3. The next thing you might want to do is check out www.wubmitexpress.com they submit to over 40 sites. And they have a good directory base. They will request your email for the submission. Don't worry it's not dodgy they just want it to confirm that your site exists and you aren't some spammer.
    
4. Only last online submission tool you can also try is www.submitmysite.net which is a relatively newer player but gaining some traction. Similar to SubmitExpress you can get ahead with using this site to get yourself onto other online directories that are free.
    
5. Something a little less direct but probably also pertinent is that you can get your website listed or improved a little bit by having corresponding links. If you have other pages that you can link to yours or you have related companies who are happy to list your website then you can piggy back off their ratings and listing etc as yahoo! and Google algorithms are constantly checking for cross verified and related data.

Don't bother submitting your website to search engines,Intuit blocks it and puts their website in front of yours.I am doing it right now and when you post your website Intuit comes up,not fair.Your website comes up as a sub, Google puts it at a zero rating because you are redirecting customers to Intuit.
