Do I have to set up an item list in QuickBooks? If not, why QuickBooks keeps asking me to select an item when I’m about to record a service revenue. Is there a way to record income without using items?

hi mustafa21,
I suppose you can without using QB to its fulliest in tracking everything for. You can go to Make Deposit and select the Income Account here. Or you can deposit the payment directly in the Checking Account register.
