HOW CAN I UPDATE INFORMATION INTO QUICKBOOKS THAT WAS NEVER ON A COMPUTER? THE PERSON HAS RUN THEIR BUSINESS WITHOUT EVEN INPUTTING ANYTHING INTO COMPUTER AND HAS ALL HIS BUSINESS IN NOTEBOOKS. WHAT CAN I DO TO UPDATE HIM ENTIRELY INTO QUICKBOOKS?

As usual, accountant man is right on the money with an answer! Assuming all the prior year taxes have been filed, I'd only enter the current year information.
Unless a compelling need to enter 2009, I think that this is so close to the end of the normal tax year it is a good alternate choice to wait until Jan 01, 2010 to start a new company file at that time.
Of course if the co fiscal year were July 09 that would be different.
