California withholding increase

US QuickBooks Pro for Windows : 2007

I need to process payroll for work done in October 2009, but the date of the checks will be in November. Since CA has a withholding increase in November, and QB doesn't have that update available yet, what's the best way to make sure I'm OK?

The only way to go in this case (I think) is to go back to paper. I mean if California increased the withholding, it had to give out some kind of calculation method or charts. Look around the Department of Revenue's web-site. When you get the info, have QuickBooks calculate the paychecks the regular way. For every paycheck, compare the state withholding by QuickBooks to the state withholding from the chart/instructions you found. If they are not the same, you can correct in in QuickBooks. Just type it instead of what QuickBooks gave.

I hope I could help.
