DMS Freezes When E-mailing Documents

I just bought a new computer and installed DMS. I use Outlook XP (2002) as my e-mail program. If I try to e-mail a document from DMS it freezes up unless I open Outlook first before trying to e-mail the document. Has anyone else had this problem?
