Can I create a template of several tasks that I want to add to a specific set of clients? (i.e. 12 tasks for monthly accounting, 4 tasks for quarterly payroll and 1 task for a business tax return)

Looks like you thought of another great feature request! It sounds like you want to be able to create a group of tasks that can be assigned to multiple contacts. Another great enhancement to Customer Manager!
