Hi ABS123,
The online version is best for service businesses. The retailer should look into the QuickBooks retail desktop version. A construction business has a special version also using the desktop only.
The best reasons to use the Online version is mobility - use the program from any computer, any time, with anyone you need to help you. So you can get help from someone, like myself, who can log onto the site at the same time and together discuss an issue and make the necessary entries and get the job done quickly with no travel and time drain hassle.
