Xerox Doate 632 scan from TWAIN driver not working

Lacerte

We have a Xerox Doate 632 with Lacerte DMS 6.0.4

We cannot scan using the TWAIN driver- the program produces a blank image, and the scanner does not pull doents from the doent feeder or flatbed. Previewing with the TWAIN driver and testing the scanner with other applications such as office works normally.

We are forced to use the TWAIN-WIA driver which produces a black page at the end, and does not allow for duplex scanning.

You may want to try updating your Driver. Since the Twain-Wia driver works (though limited), it , means the Scan routine in DMS is working.

Try a newer version of the driver, and maybe try an older version of your driver.

Alternatively you can try scanning the files outside DMS using whatever software came bundled with your scanner, then save or send the PDF file to DMS. This way you should be able to get your duplex scanning back.

We have tried with both older and the latest versions of the drivers available from the manufacturer.

The workaround you suggest is to basically use a competing product to scan images and re-import the finished scans into DMS. I will have a hard time justifying this to my decision maker. TWAIN scanning works in all applications except DMS. When I opened a case with phone support 6 months ago it was notated as a known issue with this model of scanner.
