DMS 2005 after driver update-HP8250 will not activate and feed from ADF only scans from glass top but o/s DMS works fine

I use HP8250 w ADF. I upgraded drivers. Now my ADF does not activate when paper is in feed. It only scans the glass top. The ADF works with the scan software o/s of DMS (2005) but not when I am attemp'g to scan from my DMS program. What is solution?

Look in the scanner drop-down menu in DMS. See what selections there are and try one of the alternatives like WIA, etc.

The smarter we get, the more dangerous we become.

In the DMS (2005) there is no 'scanner' item and therefore no drop down. I have searched all the menu items and do not find anything that may help solve this. I hope it is a simple fix, just need to find it. All worked great until I installed the new drivers.

What happens when you click the scan button inside dms? Does it give an error? Since it is a new driver try the following link.

thanks. I did find the 'scanner' drop down button. It was after the Scan button. One of those screens and fields I never pay mind to and forgot it was there.

I resolved the problem by disconnecting scanner, restart computer, then rebooted computer, powered up and reconnected the scanner. Opened DMS and the ADF worked properly. Thanks gentlemen.
