Convert from qbw-2007 to mac

US QuickBooks for Macintosh : 2009

I am trying to open a QBW 2007 file with Quickbooks for Mac. It tells me the file must be converted, and asks for a name for the new file, then says the file couldn't be converted. How do I fix?

The error I get is: "The document “HOUSEHOLD.QBW” could not be opened. There was a problem converting this file.

Guess I'll answer my own question. The files must be exported from QuickBooks for Windows using File->Utilities->Copy Company File for QuickBooks Mac...

Once that is done, the resulting file can be read and converted by QuickBooks for Mac.

Also, you're supposed to upgrade/update the Win2007 file to Win2009 before creating the file for QB 2009 for Mac.
