We are currently in the process of adding Lacerte DMS to our programs. I attended a conference and they said that Lacerte DMS is only good for a firm with up to 1,000 clients. What is your feeling about this?

I don't think the real question is how many clients you have, as much as how you plan to use DMS.  Production environment or archival?  Lots of files per client or just the tax return, organizer, and tax plan for next year?  Many multi-megabyte files scanned in or mostly smaller documents printed from within your computer?  How many people in the same database at the same time?  What does your network/server/desktop infrastructure look like?

I am preparing our databases for conversion to the new version while typing this, so not sure how it performs, but searching the forum for size, speed, or stability should give an indication of 6.x in the the community's eyes.
