Its says administrator permission required to restore from a flashdrive

 

I am trying to restore my QB file from a flash drive onto a newly installed QB software on my laptop but it tells me I don't have permission to save it on to C:\Program Files\Intuit\----. It tells me to contact the administrator to obtain permission: well I never set up an adminstrator--what can I do to override this. Please help, I am sort of new to this. Thanks

The message is coming from the operating system & not QuickBooks.  You need to have administrator rights to the folder where QuickBooks wants to restore the datafile into. Check with your IT person.
