batch emailing invoices locks up Outlook and QB

i am runnign vista OS and outlook 07 and I tried to send a batch and the a email of a invoice and I need to know what to do so I can fix this problem I really hate to have to set another program. it is locking up both programs and this is a brand new laptop hp and it is the only thing I have loaded on this is why a bout the computer for.
