MFS to MFJ transfer to 2009

ProSeries : 2008

I have a husband and wife who filed MFS in 2008. Is there a way to combine the separate returns when transfering to 2009 so that the program will handle carryovers, AMT,8801 etc?

I'd rather be flying...

The solution

There is no way to combine them in the program.  Transfer one of them and enter the combined info onto that one.

When anyone doing nothing needs help, I will gladly help that person do nothing.

No there is not a way Pro Series will do that. You will have to transfer each one then create a joint return in 2009
