Condensing company file

Is there a way to condense the company file without having to create a new file and enter all of the balances or delete old transactions. I can not email my file (even portable) because it is over 20 MG (even

when zipped). I would like to maintain history so we can run comparison reports year to year.

Create a portable file and restore it and you should see some reduction in the file size.  Also, you can email large files for free using www.sendthisfile.com or www.yousendit.com or another similar service.

Thanks Michelle. My file is 20 MG

as a portable file. I will look into the websites that you suggested. I currently use godaddy file storage to email the files to my client. But now I cant due to the size.

Our accounting firm has set up a FTP site so clients can upload larger files. It is also more secure than email. Each client is assigned their own login and password to post the file.
