You make an account named "credit card deposits" and enter the amount received for purchases. Then on the next line of same bank deposit you enter an account named  "credit card tips to deduct from sales" and enter the tips amount. Just make sure the two amounts total your credit card deposit. At the end of the month you can run a report showing sales and tip amounts deducted from sales. This will make doing your sales tax easier also.
