Direct Deposit and Bank Register

I processed my first direct deposit 2 days ago. The check amounts are $0. How do I adjust the balance in my bank register to reflect the total amount of the transaction without hitting expense accounts again?

This is the way it works.  When you send the DD checks, another liability check for the total DD amount is added to your register.
