I am now working from home and finding it difficult to do my billing from the office. If I use QB Online (free version for billing)...can I download this info into my QB software at work, so my accounting is still in one place? I do access my business computer through log me in but was hoping to not have to jump through those hoops to do my billing. Any suggestions?
The desktop version of QB and QB Online are two separate versions; you can't sync them. QB Online Edition is a great product and if you need access from other locations, it might be perfect fit for you. Please keep in mind that it does have some limitations, such as limited template customization and limited inventory tracking.

I am in a similar situation. Only my office assistant is not in the office most of the time and we have been using a pc with gotomypc but I recently purchased a mac and she has a mac. I am wondering if I need to do both payroll and qb online and how secure is it. Thanks for any help. Ted
