I just purchased Pro 2009 to do my business payroll. Read on box that Pro 2009 has payroll management and payroll taxes (then in small letters I see where it says sold separately) Does this mean that all the information I need to do my payroll is not in Pro 2009. Does this mean I have to invest more into Quickbooks to do my payroll?? Please answer ASAP. Thanks

I'm sorry, but QB Pro does not include payroll--it is sold separately. There are various payroll services you can sign up for--Basic, Enhanced, Assisted Payroll and Intuit Online Payroll (which has some great deals right now--3 months free and then $9.95/month--I think it is still a current offer). You can learn more at payroll.intuit.com. But, if you've never done payroll before, I'd recommend Assisted payroll--then an Intuit payroll specialist will help make sure you're payroll is set up properly, and Intuit does the federal and state tax deposits and filings for you! Give them my name or contact me and I might be able to save you some money if you decide to sign up for Assisted Payroll.
