how to put a chart of acct.# to a new created acct. name. ty

i create new acct but i cannot put a new chart of acct number to the individual that i created...ty

Open the chart > Edit the account & enter the account number in the box.

Make sure that you have the Account numbers activated.
Edit menu . Preferences > Accounting > Company preferences > Check off "Use account numbers"
