Can I convert current years transactions from Quicken to Quickbooks? We converted the clients Quicken to Quickbooks last spring, he continued to use Quicken. Now is ready to use Quickbooks. We don't want to spend all time of converting again!

You could run a YTD report and adjust your balances to his.

Then, he could move forward with your QUickBooks file.

He would be missing the detail for those months, but if that doesn't matter to him, this is what I would do.

Make sure that you enter any o/s checks, DITs, Open Invoices, and Unpaid Bills into the system through the correct forms - not through the one journal entry.

When in doubt, make a backup first!!

Perform a year end copy in Quicken you can remove all reconciled transactions. Go into each register & enter a "R" in the Clr column. Pick your date for the Year end copy.

Quicken > File menu > File Operations > Year-End Copy

Hope this helps. If so please mark solved, if not please ask more questions. Thanks!
