What is the problem or error message? Copy the back up from the jumpdrive to the hard drive. Make sure to not what type of file it is--QBB or QBM. Then, in QB 2009, go to File>Open or Restore and select the proper one based on the file type.

It still is not working. The backup file is a QBB file. I just cannot get it to restore. I have gotten several different errors actually. When I do get through the steps up to the point to actually restore, it says it is saving as a QBM file, is that the problem, because I cannot get it to switch to a QBB?

You should go to File>Open or Restore>Restore a Backup file and select the file to restore. Then, it will ask where you want to restore it -- select somewhere on the hard drive. It may ask if you want to update the file -- you have to check the box and then click update now to update & restore the data file.
