Are Vending machine locations, a depreciable or amortizable expense for a corporation?
If the location is paid for, and in a contract, is this then depreciable, over time?
If so, over what time length? Is it 40 year property?
I would think it's amortizable over the term of the contract. I could also see an argument that it's a Sec 197 intangible asset, amortizable over 15 years. I believe I'd use whichever method gives the larger writeoff.
This shop be amortizable over the life of the respective contract depending upon the lengthof the contract for the Vending Machine
