I wanted to confirm but it seems that Power PC chip macs are no longer suppported. Can you please validate? If no longer can you please share how long do you plan to support the 09 version? Our business doesn't own any Intel based machines and we have no plans to acquire new hardware for at least 6 months.
Also can you confirm if simultaneous access to the database is now possible?. The feature is not checked off on the list.
Thanks
You are correct JEGL, QuickBooks 2010 is not supported on PowerPC based Macs.
QuickBooks for Mac 2010 does not support multiple simultaneous users.
More information is available in the FAQs.
Hi JEGL,
With our service discontinuation policy, we support a product for 3 years. Your 09 version will be good until 2012.
I hope this helps.

Amy,
I kind of think that mohdsaiful wants to purchase QB 2010 for Mac online but hasn't been able to do so because of country restrictions.
Is it possible that mohdsaiful needs to call somewhere?

In 2010 for Mac, are you able to expand the sizes of the custom fields? This has been my #1 problem with using Quickbooks in my business.

discocricket, I would like to have seen your question asked as a new discussion instead of being tagged onto this one, mainly because others might have the same question.
In Layout Designer you can change the size of the box for any custom field when you customize sales forms (invoices, etc.). I suspect, however, that you weren't asking about "size" of custom fields but rather their character-entry limitations. If that's what you meant, then the answer is that you cannot change the number of characters that a custom field—or any QuickBooks field—will accept.
Furthermore (to give you more information than you actually wanted, heh-heh), you cannot change the nature of any field. QuickBooks date fields will always be date fields, even if you change their names and move them elsewhere when customizing a form in Layout Designer. Likewise, text fields, calculation fields, etc. will retain their nature regardless of what you do with them in LD.

Lol, so the only new feature in that big chart is the set up assistant?

Nope, there's a lot more than that, seannyc. Read through all of the product page, including "Benefits."

Can you tell me if QB 2010 allows for manual payroll? Currently I'm running 2007 which doesn't. I have a service, but the download capacity doesn't yet work for mac.
thanks
