i need to change a bank account to accounts receivable ( Help)

Try changing it to the type "Other Current Asset" and then put AR in the name. You can't change the type of a Bank account to an AR or an AP account. This is the work around. Sometimes you can have multiple AR accounts but you should only have one that is typed "AR or AP).
