Why is Intuit selling this product for $3/return
If Lacerte is trying to compete with Copanion; why are selling it at 3times the price?

If Lacerte is trying to compete with Copanion; why are selling it at 3times the price?

Intuit has partnered with Companion to offer the same service however for Lacerte customers there is an actual data interface (or so I have read) where as ProSeries customers will have to key it in.
Great question, Cindra. Document eSort has some significant advantages for ProSeries and Lacerte customers.
First, it is fully integrated into both Lacerte and ProSeries. You can launch the product, and open the resulting organized file within the tax product, maximizing your productivity.
For DMS users, it is also fully integrated with DMS. So, you can grab the unsorted doc, send it to Document eSort and it will automatically place the organized file into a folder called Document eSort.
And, it is a true 'pay as you go' model. So you can decide which clients to use Document eSort with and you don't have to pay up front for a bundle of transmissions that you may or may not use.
Hope that helps!

To the Document E-sort Team - Just came across this thread and I'm curious if your response means that you can e-sort of file from your DMS program. For example, I scan a slew of documents from my client into DMS, not in any partuclar order. i can send these to Intuit e-sort and they come back in order or tdo they have to be scanned again at 300 dpi? My concer with 300 dpi is the enormous size of the e-sort file that results. any thoughts on this? Thanks

Yes. Here is a short demo.
