You stick with it, but when you send out emails or blogs, don't do it as an "unknown sender"...NOW THAT IS SKEPTICAL!
If you want someone to believe in what you are offering, network, get the name out there NO MATTER WHAT. What matters is that YOU BELIEVE in what you are offering...and it will come...

I've been reading your profile. I'm not sure what you are trying to accomplish with all the emails, the cold calling, etc that you've been doing. Are you trying to get people to join your franchise to start their own home based business as a travel agent? or are you mainly trying to get some customers into your corner of the woods to make their travel arrangements through you and your website and cash in on a referral bonus or two along the way from others who want to start their business? Two different goals, two entirely different approaches needed to make it work.
Keep in mind, most people take 7-10 different contact episodes with a firm before they can be persuaded to purchase goods or services from that firm, and the chances of persuading them improve when you vary the method of contact use - emails, phone calls, etc.. So vary your approaches.
Personally, I dislike emails. I get 200 or so spam emails a day so if you are trying to get me to buy something from you, chances are I won't even bother to read your message.
With that being said, emails can be effective if you try to keep them short, and ask a question or invite to an event instead of trying to close a sale.

So are you a MLM type of Agency? With CLIA and IATAN pulling their affiliations from MLM or "Cardmill" agency it really hurts the agent who does not just pay a fee to enter this system of travel..As I'm sure you have been watching the RRCL drama. In our agency we require more than CLIA standards to obtain your CLIA card, how about yours?

When truth of the matter is that Traverus is a 26-year old travel agency that implemented their network marketing side 12-months ago. Also... I didn't just get a ID card, i had to complete the training that's required to receive the "Card" in mention...
i use their IATAN and CLIA..# while i learn the business....
As soon as i reach $5000 in commissons i'll be able to obtain my own IATAN card, my company has a travel training program and a University will be launched next year...

Other possible ways to meet people is by attending networking events in your area or volunteering. Also, if there are chambers of commerce in your area, they are other networking opportunities. You may or may not find people interested in a travel business, but you may get customers.

Remember when you are marketing online, that people HATE to be sold. If they read your emails and feel that they are sales pitches, in the recycle bin they go.
