How can I undo four years of reconciliations? I've taken over the books of someone who converted from Quicken for Mac....and everything is a mess. The only way to fix the prior bookkeepers mistakes is to start from the beginning.

Correction, there is another way. Create a brand new file for them. It can be too costly for the business to pay you to clean up 4 years and taxes have already been done. Start with Jan 09 fresh.

Thanks for your reply! Unfortunately, the taxes have not been filed. I'm having to unravel everything so that they can file their taxes. I'd love to start with '09 fresh, but they want everything allocated and reconciled all the way back to '06 so that they can file. I can't figure out how to do that without undoing all of the reconciliations back to the beginning....and I don't know how to do that. Do I just keep doing "Undo Reconciliation"?

I am working with the same problem, fortunately it is only for this year. The only way I have found to start from the beginning is to undo each reconciliation.

Yep, keep hitting the Undo button untit you cannot go any further. If you have Mac, you have to unclear each transaction individually.
